Dr. Aaron M. Lehman

“After much soul searching and reflection upon my life experiences,
including my daughter’s naming and son’s bris, I decided to pursue the honor of becoming a certified Mohel and help others welcome their miracles into the world and assist them with their first commitment to a Jewish life. The strong sense of community, responsibility, and connection between the past, present, and future that emanates from a bris is beautiful. As a Mohel, I am not only able to combine both my love of Judaism and Medicine, I am also able to give back to my Jewish community.
Dr. Aaron Lehman

Dr. Lehman trained at UCSD to become a board-certified, licensed Pediatrician and Internist. Currently, Dr. Lehman is working as an Internist/Pediatrician at Kaiser Permanente in Rancho Bernardo.
Previously, Dr. Lehman worked as the lead physician at North County Health Services (a non-profit clinic for the underserved population) and as the Associate Program Director for the Med-Peds Residency Program at UCSD.

Dr. Lehman is also a certified Mohel; accredited through the National Organization of American Mohalim (NOAM). For the past 11 years, Dr. Lehman has successfully been performing circumcisions. Dr. Lehman is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the American College of Physicians, and a member of the San Diego County Medical Society.

Dr. Lehman and his wife (see below) have lived in San Diego since 2001 and are active members of Congregation Beth Israel and the Jewish Community.

Stephanie J. Lehman, Ph.D., Manager

Stephanie (who has been happily married to Dr. Lehman for 10 years and grew up in San Diego) is the Manager of Bris and Beyond. Stephanie has her doctorate in Family Studies and Human Development and has worked and volunteered in the fields of HIV Prevention and NICU Family Support. Stephanie is available to answer all questions and is happy to help with all aspects of your ceremony. Stephanie also has experience in event planning and coordination.

Dalia Jacobs-Brandt, Catering Director

Dalia is excited to join Bris and Beyond as the Catering Director. She has over 15 years of catering and event planning experience and looks forward to working with those families who would like us to cater the seudat mitzvah (the festive meal following the bris).
